Council-Certified Microbial Remediator ( CMR)

Arkansas, Florida, Maryland and New York Require ACAC Certification before you can perform mold remediation.

 Students from other states can also receive this certification, however it is not required for other states at this time.

Program Summary:

The Council-certified Microbial Remediator (CMR) conduct mold remediation and mold removal projects in the indoor environment. A CMR can design and maintain effective containments. A CMR can control pressure relationships during a project. A CMR can safely clean, treat or remove structures and contents affected by microbial contamination. A CMR can design remediation protocols or follow established protocols and industry standards.

Government facilities

Schools and public buildings

Healthcare facilities

Residential structures

Accreditation:

The CMR certifications are accredited by the Council for Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB), a nationally recognized independent accreditation body. ACAC certifications are the ONLY designations in the indoor air quality field to earn CESB accreditation.
